Description

Located in the Rio Docklands, the “Cidade do Samba” brings together the various costume workshops and float production centres of some of the largest samba schools in Brazil.

 

This entertainment and workshop complex was planned to offer visitors all the grassroots charm and excitement of Carnaval as well as enjoy the magic of the festivities that make Rio the party capital of the world. Visitors watch real floats being constructed and view the elaborate costumes being prepared for the upcoming Carnaval. Guests learn about the unique percussion instruments used to hammer out that irresistible samba beat.
